In 1999, I was part of a group from the University of Leicester that visited New York to host a residential teaching weekend for our USA-based distance-learning students. Our partners in New York were The New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) located on the 17th floor (Suite 1700) of 2 World Trade Center, the South Tower, before the September 11 attacks. The visit was an amazing experience but now memories are shaped by the tragic events that followed.
Jacqueline and I returned to New York for a holiday in early 2000.
I visited Ground Zero in 2012 but found it very hard to take photographs. Did not feel right.
